The V4 is Hope's big four-piston calliper, fitted to bikes ridden hard on steep ground. Pads in a brake like that are a consumable rather than a component, and running them down to the backing plate is an expensive way to learn that lesson. These are our replacements for the Tech 3 and Tech 4 versions.
What fits
Hope Tech 3 V4 and Hope Tech 4 V4 callipers. These are the four-piston V4 bodies specifically — if you're running a Tech 3 or Tech 4 E4, that's a different and smaller pad. Worth checking the calliper body before ordering, since Hope use the Tech 3 and Tech 4 names across the whole lever range.

What they're made of
Semi-metallic friction material on a steel backing plate, rated for middle and high temperatures. On a V4 that rating is the whole point: a four-piston Hope on a long descent puts enough heat through the pad that the compound, not the calliper, becomes the limiting factor.
Why buy ours
Hope pads are made in Barnoldswick and priced like it. Ours are own-brand, built to the same fitment, and cost a fraction as much. That matters most for exactly the riders who fit V4s, because they're the ones getting through pads fastest.
Fitting
One pair per calliper. Order two if you're replacing front and rear. Bed them in properly before anything steep — roughly ten firm stops from moderate speed, easing off before you stop each time. A V4 with unbedded pads feels far weaker than it should, and that's not the pads being wrong.
